You will now need to remove any moulding from the floor this can easily be done using a flat edge screwdriver and a hammer what we are ideally looking for is a flat smooth surface which will allow us to lay our floor tiles. If you struggle to get some patches up off the old floor you can use a hairdryer which will heat the glue up and allow you to remove any of the old floor glue. When you have got all the glue up ensure you clean the floor and again remove any dust so you have a good surface to lay floor tiles.
Now you have a clean floor surface you will need to go about filling in any small cracks the floor might have this will just help the new floor tiles stick better. To do this you will need to use the poly filler now it’s a good idea to use this sparingly and now apply too much as it might make the floor un-even. Now you have filled in all of the holes you will need to give the floor time to dry this period is usually around 24 hours so leave the floor and come back the following day.
Once the poly filler has fully dried your ready to start cutting your floor tiles, this is one of the hardest things you will have to do when your laying your floor tiles as you will have to ensure you do not cut the floor tiles to small or too big. We always say start at the middle and work your way making sure you cut all edge tiles to properly cover the whole floor. When you have cut all of your floor tiles you can think about laying the floor tiles and gluing them into place.
